Of all the sectors that will be transformed due to the technological revolution, that of global healthcare is one of those that looks the most promising. From the use of messenger RNA in the development of a new generation of vaccines to the applications of artificial intelligence in understanding climatic challenges with regard to health, the future is full of opportunities.
However, technology will not solve per se some of the challenges facing the right to health on the part of a considerable portion of the world’s population, such as inequality, disinformation ,or perverse incentives in pharmaceutical innovation. In fact, it could make them even worse.
The session “Health and Technology in a Global World,” will deal with these matters with the help of experts who will provide an international and interdisciplinary perspective.
