Pankaj Mishra

An essay writer and novelist. He graduated from Allahabad University and, later on, earned a PhD in English Literature from New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru. He currently contributes to The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, The New York Times Book Review, and The Guardian. An extensive bibliography of reports, essays, and travel books have made him one of the most renowned experts on the new realities of Asian countries. De las ruinas de los imperios (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2014) won the Crossword Prize for Best Nonfiction in 2013. In 2014, it became the first book by a non-Western author to win Germany’s prestigious Leipzig Book Award for European Understanding. In 2017, he published La edad de la ira, in 2020, Fanáticos insulsos, and in 2022, Corre a esconderte, all of which were published by Galaxia Gutenberg.
