Cristina Manzano

Journalist. Director of Foreign Affairs in the Secretaría General Iberoamericana (SEGIB), member of the esglobal trust, and president of the Alianza por la Solidaridad trust. Degree in Information Science, specialising in Journalism, from Madrid’s Universidad Complutense, she contributes regularly to the newspapers El País and El Periódico de Catalunya, is the editorial coordinator of the Pensamiento Iberoamericano journal, and regularly appears in RTVE programmes. She also participates as a speaker in subjects related to international affairs, Spanish and European Union foreign policy, globalisation, and communication. She is a member of different national and international organisations, including the ECFR (European Council on Foreign Relations), the scientific councils of the Real Instituto Elcano and CIDOB, and the trusts of the Education Foundation for European Employment and the Centro Internacional de Toledo para la Paz. She is likewise a member of the Club de Madrid’s Board of Directors and the Club of Rome’s Spanish chapter.
